Aw shucks, I honestly dunno why people keep telling me that. But i’ll totally keep it in mind. I mean, I could totally use all the help I can get anyway. But thank you Wes, you’re a really awesome guy too!

It’s probably because you’re a sweet guy? The accent doesn’t hurt…even though it’s not that pronounced. Whatever. People, your friends, just want to help just because. Besides, you’d totally do the same thing for anyone else, am I right? :D

A talk with Frank|Went (Wes/Trent)

sassywarblertrent:

Trent smiled and let Wes into the room, deciding that it was best to just talk their instead of risking sneaking into the library. “Come on in.” The last thing he needed was to get caught and get into trouble. His mom had worked hard to ensure him a place at the school and he didn’t want to just throw her money away.

Trent led the way over to his bed, sitting on top of the comforter and motioning for Wes to sit down if he wanted to. “So where is Frank?” Trent asked with a small laugh. He hoped to ease the slight tension he felt in the room. “No but really, what did you want to talk about? I’m fabulous and I know it!” Trent told him with a small on his face.

Trent could never see himself as ‘hot’. It was just not him. To him he had a cute body. Adorable. But not hot. He had a baby face, that grandmas just wanted to pinch! He had honestly never pictured himself ending up with anyone. He always thought he would be forever alone.

Wes nodded and crossed the threshold into Trent’s room, moving to the side to let his friend close the door. He took the opportunity to look around and compare the dorm to his own. It was set up just like his and David’s shared room just with the notable lack of sleeping roommate and extra clutter you got when shoving two people together into one room. Yet it still had that lived in feel. Wes contributed that to the boy currently plopping down on his bed; Trent was larger than life and filled a place up with his enthusiasm.

“He went to score late night noms in the cafeteria,” he answered with a shrug and toed off his shoes. He wasn’t wearing socks which was probably not a good idea but he’d been in a hurry to get here. Wes mentally slapped himself and moved to take a seat on the bed. He wondered if Trent was just as nervous as he was. He tried not to let his nerves influence him too much and forced himself to relax. He drew his legs up, turning on the bed to give himself more room, and crossed them.

Wes leaned back to brace his hands against the edge of the bed and gave the other teen an assessing look. He knew that Trent thought himself fabulous and in truth he agreed with him, but he also knew that somewhere in that head of his Trent didn’t really believe it.

“I’d like to know the name of the asshole that made you think that you’re going to be alone for the rest of your life,” he said in way of answering. “I’m not a violent person but I really have this urge to break that person’s face.”

I can imagine. Sort of, anyway. I’ve got 20/40 and will end up in glasses in a year or two but that’s just squint worthy stuff. Dyslexia is a bit more than fuzzy words. I’m glad that there school’s not ignoring it and helping. Most aren’t that understanding.

Well I mean, it’s just another challenge God’s faced me with I suppose. What don’t kill me is only gonna make me stronger, right? Besides, after 17 years, you get so used to working around it it’s almost second nature.

Stronger, yeah. You’re a great guy, Sam, so I hope you’re right. And, hey. If you need some extra help — Okay, I know nothing about how to help but I’m still offering anyway. Even if it’s just to vent or something, you know?

A talk with Frank|Went (Wes/Trent)

sassywarblertrent:

Trent sighed down at his phone, quickly typing in the response y room?to Wes’ text. He ran a hand through his hair as he got up and headed to the bathroom. Wes wanted to have a frank and serious talk about his body image. Trent was not looking forward to this. He hardly talked about his body with anyone, but it’s not like anyone really tried to have a talk with me. He went over to the sink, turning on the cool water before splashing some on his face. A headache was threatening to take over Trent’s head so he searched out a few tylenol’s, and quickly swallowed two before a cup of water. After drying his face Trent went back into his room to change into his favorite zip up hoodie.

Trent loved to be fabulous, but he didn’t mind relaxing into a comfy pair of sweat pants and a zip up at night time. And anyways he could still rock the look. He played on his phone, trolling the Internet as he waited for his Asian friend to arrive. His mind couldn’t help but wander to the thoughts of the last couple of days. He had gone on an amazing date with David, and had also found out that Wes likes him too. Never in a million years did Trent think that this was possible. He had no idea what to make of the situation, and decided to let it just run it’s course.

At the knock of the door Trent stood up and walked over to it, opening the door for Wes.  Trent greeted him with a small smile, not really sure how they stood since Wes told him about the crush. “Hey” Trent told him softly, hoping that things wouldn’t be to awkward between them. Wes was a good friend, and he had no intention of losing him.

Sometimes Wes wonders when he became this person; dependable, resilient, and with a level head on his shoulders. He wasn’t always like this, he knows. Once upon a time he use to be impulsive and carefree. He didn’t think about serious things and wanted to be an astronaut for purely base reasons - He was childish. That was all before the exorcisms and talk of mental institutions, though. Maybe that was the answer and he should stop trying to look for a deeper meaning behind his need to be an intermediary or to fix things, people.

Wes shook his head as he climbed out of bed. He was wearing a pair of flannel pajama bottoms that were old but comfortable and a plain white cotton tee. It was standard sleepwear when he decided to get fancier than just boxers. He grabbed the matching shirt to the pants from the closet and headed to the door to slip on his shoes. Then, as quietly as possible, he opened the door and slipped into the hallway, hoping he didn’t wake his sleeping roommate when the door clicked closed.

Luckily Trent’s room wasn’t too far and with a light jog he got there in a few minutes. He knocked lightly, mindful of the hour and the potential of waking sleeping classmates, and waited patiently until Trent opened the door and greeted him. He smiled and wriggled his fingers in a wave.

“And a hello to you too,” he chuckled and shifted his weight from foot to foot, trying to act casual despite the fact that he was here to have a serious discussion with a guy that he admitted to liking. It was just a little weird but not uncomfortable. “Gonna invite me in or did you change your mind? I think we can sneak into the library or something?”

You’re dyslexic? Are you getting help with that here or…?

Yeah. I mean, for the most part I try ‘n power through it. But if I ask for help ‘n stuff I get it… I can work around it reasonably well, though it’s a massive pain in the ass.
